Boards and Flyers
A lightweight way for cycling communities to organize events, share calendars, and plan seasons together without another group chat or social media page.
Every bike shop has a corkboard by the door. Flyers for group rides, race announcements, club events, training camps. It's how cycling communities have always communicated: someone posts what's coming up, and anyone who walks in can see it. Boards and Flyers bring that idea online.
Right now, organizing a cycling community means stitching together a Facebook group, an event registration platform, a group chat, and maybe a shared calendar. None of those tools were built for what you actually need. Boards and Flyers sit in the sweet spot between social media, event registration, and chat apps. They're a lightweight communication layer designed for cycling communities.
What Boards Are
A board is a home base for a community. It could represent a cycling club, a local bike shop, a race series, a city scene, a team, or anything else with a group of riders and things happening. Create a board, give it a name, tag it by type, and you've got a place where members can see what's going on.
Boards can be public or private. Public boards are discoverable by anyone on the boards page. Riders can browse by tag, search by name, or filter by location to find communities near them. Private boards are invite-only. Either way, when you watch a board, its flyers appear in your personal feed.

What Flyers Are
Flyers are what get posted to boards. Think of them as event posters that announce something coming up and stay active until the date passes. Each flyer has a type that shapes its purpose and visual design:
• Rides are for group rides, social spins, and training sessions. They can be outdoor or virtual, and virtual rides can include an attached workout so everyone rides together.<br>• Races cover criteriums, time trials, gran fondos, and anything competitive.<br>• Events handle multi-day gatherings like bike festivals, workshops, and award nights.<br>• Announcements are for everything else: schedule changes, new member welcomes, season updates.
Each type gets its own visual treatment on the card. Races have energy streaks. Rides show terrain. Events get mountain silhouettes. Announcements use a halftone pattern. You can tell what something is at a glance. Every flyer can be downloaded as a high-res image, ready to share on social media, drop in a group chat, or print and pin to your shop's actual corkboard.
Your Season Calendar
Flyers are calendar-native. Every flyer has a date, and optionally a time range and end date for multi-day events. When you find one you're interested in, add it to your calendar with one tap. It shows up on your season calendar alongside your training plan, giving you a single view of what's ahead.
This is where boards become more than a bulletin board. Your club posts its Tuesday night ride series, your local shop posts Saturday group rides, a race promoter posts the regional crit calendar. Browse through it all, add the flyers you care about, and your season takes shape in one place.
Built for Communities
We designed boards around how cycling communities actually work. A club needs a place to post weekly rides. A shop wants to share group ride schedules. A race series needs somewhere to list upcoming events. A city scene wants a central hub where all the local action is visible.
Board owners control who can post. Open it up so any member can create flyers, or lock it down to admins only. Members can react to flyers with cowbells to signal interest. Flyers can include external links for registration, route info, or anything else riders need.
For group rides, flyers go a step further. Attach a workout and riders can join a synchronized group session directly from the flyer. Post the ride, share the board, and everyone shows up in the same session at the same time.
Why This Exists
Cycling communities don't need another social network. They don't need a full event management platform with ticketing and registration workflows. They need a place to say "here's what's happening" and a way for people to put it on their calendar. That's what boards and flyers do.
The goal is to make organizing as simple as pinning a flyer to the corkboard at your local shop, except this one is connected to everyone's feed and works for communities spread across a city or a whole region.
Boards and Flyers have a standalone experience that lives outside the main ride app, so anyone can browse boards, post flyers, and manage their community without launching a workout. Some features like adding flyers to your season calendar, joining group sessions from a flyer, and syncing workouts require the full app at /ride.
Head to Boards & Flyers to browse what's already there, or create a board for your own community. If you run a club, a shop ride series, or a local race circuit, this is the place to bring it together.
