The only cycling app that tells you about other cycling apps
Most cycling apps act like they're the only cycling app. Our gallery at /apps celebrates the 25+ great tools shaping the sport.
Open any major cycling app. Zwift, Strava, TrainerRoad, Wahoo SYSTM. Spend an hour clicking around inside any of them. You won't find a single mention that another cycling app exists. As far as those apps are concerned, they are the only ones.
This is normal for software. Companies don't usually advertise the competition. But cycling software is a strange industry. Most cyclists already use five or six apps. Strava for sharing, Intervals.icu for analytics, Komoot for route planning, Zwift for indoor riding, Garmin Connect for device sync. The all-in-one fantasy collapses the moment you actually train seriously. And yet, inside any one of those apps, you'd never know the others existed.
We built our apps gallery because that always bothered us.
A gallery, not a list
Over at /apps we keep a hand-curated directory of 25 cycling apps from around the world. Indoor cycling platforms like Zwift, MyWhoosh, Rouvy, FulGaz, and TrainingPeaks Virtual. Structured training systems like TrainerRoad, Wahoo SYSTM, Xert, and JOIN. Analytics tools like Intervals.icu, Golden Cheetah, WKO5, Cycling Analytics, and VeloViewer. Route planners like Komoot, Ride with GPS, and cycle.travel. AI coaching from Athletica.ai and AI Endurance. Bike fitting through MyVeloFit. Social riding on Strava. And a few more.
Most of these compete directly with features Ride Cave offers. We list them anyway. We list them prominently. We link straight out to their websites with no tracking, no affiliate codes, no nonsense.
Why we made this
Cycling software is in a golden age right now. Five years ago, half of what's normal today would have sounded like science fiction. AI coaches that quietly adjust your week based on training stress. Virtual worlds with realistic physics and pelotons of real humans. Analytics platforms that break down your power data in ways that would impress most exercise physiologists.
Different athletes need different tools. The right tool for a track sprinter isn't the right tool for a gran fondo rider, and neither is the right tool for someone who just wants a 45-minute structured workout three nights a week before dinner. Any app that claims to do everything for everyone is selling you a marketing position. We'd rather just be honest. Here's the ecosystem. Here's what's good about each piece of it. Go find what fits how you actually ride.
This is also a worldview
The gallery isn't just a directory. It reflects how we build Ride Cave. We integrate with Strava so your indoor rides automatically end up where your friends will see them. We connect with Intervals.icu so your long-form analytics live wherever you already do the analysis. We push to Wahoo and Garmin Connect so your device ecosystem stays current without you having to think about it. Your data shouldn't be a hostage to whichever app you opened last. You can see the full list on our integrations page.
We don't think the future of cycling software is one app to rule them all. It's going to look more like what's already happening. A lot of specialized tools, each doing one thing genuinely well, talking to each other through open formats and integrations, while the cyclist gets on with the actual riding.
