Just Ride: Instant, Endless, Generated Routes
Pick a terrain, difficulty, and steepness, then ride an endless procedurally generated route through Ride Cave's animated world. No workout to choose, no GPS file, no setup.
Some days you know exactly what you want to do: a structured interval set, a specific route, a race. Other days you just want to get on the bike and ride something engaging without any setup at all. Just Ride is for those days. One click generates a fresh route and drops you straight into it, with no workout to choose, no GPS file to upload, and no course to build.
But a spontaneous ride is only good if it feels real. Just Ride generates an endless, procedurally built route with genuine climbs and descents, controls your trainer in simulation mode so you actually feel the terrain, and renders the whole thing as an animated scrolling world we call Cave World. It is the quickest way to turn a spare half hour into a real ride.
One Click, Then Ride
Open the Instant menu on the Workout or eRoutes page and choose Just Ride. Pick a terrain, a difficulty, and how steep you want it, then press Start Ride. That is the entire setup. The route is endless, so you ride until you decide to stop. There is no fixed distance to finish and nothing to save or clean up afterward. Every Just Ride is ephemeral and lives only for that session.
Three Simple Choices, Real Terrain
Three controls shape the ride. Terrain sets the character: Flat for steady spinning, Rolling for repeated risers, or Mountain for a long, sustained climb. Difficulty, from Cruise to Epic, sets how far you go and how much you climb. An Epic mountain loop is a genuine beyond category effort, on the order of six thousand feet of climbing across 25 miles. The Max Grade slider sets the steepness, so you can keep a route gentle or crank a mountain up to brutal.
The terrain itself is built to feel like real geography rather than a metronome. Instead of identical hills marching past, you get a long pull, a short dip, another climb, then a descent home, with varied lengths, rounded summits, and grades that wander within a climb the way real roads do. Every route still returns cleanly to where it started, so an endless loop never jumps from one lap to the next.
It Rides Like the Outdoors
Just Ride controls your smart trainer in simulation mode, which means resistance follows the generated grade. When the road kicks up, the trainer gets harder. When it tips downhill, it eases off and you carry your speed. The elevation profile, the grade on screen, and what your legs feel are all driven by the same data, so the ride stays honest from the first pedal stroke to the last.
Welcome to Cave World
While you ride, Just Ride renders an animated world that scrolls past in time with your effort. The scenery shifts through four biomes as you climb, from coastal to desert to forest to alpine, under a slow shift from day to night, with parallax hills rolling by behind your rider. Occasional surprises drift through to keep things interesting: a prop plane towing a banner, a hot air balloon floating up from behind the ridgeline, a meteor streaking across the night sky, and, once in a great while, a UFO.
You can choose from three riders, each with a distinct look, and your pick is remembered for next time. The whole scene speeds up and slows down with you, so it always feels connected to the ride rather than playing on its own.
Every Ride Is Different
Press Randomize and you get a completely new route, a fresh starting biome, and a different time of day. Each ride is generated from a single seed, which makes it reproducible: if you have to step away partway through, Just Ride rebuilds the exact same route when you resume, with no saved file required. Reroll as many times as you like until something catches your eye, then go ride it.
Getting Started
Connect your trainer, open the Instant menu, and choose Just Ride. Pick your terrain, dial in the difficulty and steepness, and press Start Ride. There is nothing to download and nothing to save, just a fresh route, a real workout, and a world to ride through. The next time you are not sure what to do, that is exactly the point.
