Every cyclist asks this question. You check the weather app, then the wind, then the hourly forecast, then you stare at your closet trying to figure out arm warmers or no arm warmers. It's a whole thing.

Ride Cave now answers that question for you. Tap "Ride outside?" from today's column on your calendar, and Atlas—Ride Cave's AI—checks the weather and tells you exactly what to expect and what to wear.

How It Works

The feature lives right on your workout calendar. At the bottom of today's column, you'll see a "Ride outside?" button. Tap it, and Ride Cave pulls real-time weather data for your location—temperature, feels-like, wind, humidity, precipitation, and the forecast for the next few hours.

Atlas synthesizes all of that into a short, practical recommendation. You get a verdict (great day to ride, rideable with some prep, or consider the trainer), a snapshot of current and upcoming conditions, and a specific kit list—jersey weight, bottoms, gloves, and any extras you'll want.

Location-Aware

The first time you use it, Ride Cave asks for your city. Start typing and pick from the autocomplete suggestions, or just type a city name and hit Check Weather. After that, your location is saved and future checks run automatically.

Cycling-Specific Advice

This isn't a generic weather widget. Atlas knows you're a cyclist. The recommendations account for wind chill at speed, the practical reality of layering on a bike, and when conditions are just bad enough that the trainer is the better call. It recommends specific gear—base layers, arm warmers, shoe covers, rain jackets—not just "dress warmly."
